Often when we think an item has seen better days, there is actually lots of potential left, by customising or adding extra details it changes an item and can make a plain item pop. This can be done with items in your wardrobe or secondhand ones. On this post I have taken a black T shirt and added stars to make it stand out and sparkle, you can do this too.

Below is everything you’ll need if you’d like to make one yourself.

What you’ll need

• A plain T shirt

• Pins, scissors and stars (or haberdashery of choice)

• Sewing machine or needle and thread (and some patience)

Step 1 - Choose your plain T

Step by step

Step 2 - Take your stars (or chosen haberdashery) and place where you would like then to go on the T

Step 3 - Pin your stars in place

Step 4 - Pinned in place and ready to sew (by machine or hand).

Step 5 - Begin to stitch the stars in place

Step 6 - Say hello to your new glamorous T shirt covered in stars, you are now ready to shine!
